Surrounded by miles of lush forest on all sides, a gurgling creek and small waterfall, Fall Creek Cabins seem far removed from civilization. But open the front door to your two-story cabin and you will soon realize that all your creature comforts have been taken care of. The cabins, built from a fragrant western red cedar, house two bedrooms, two baths, a living room, loft and kitchen. The full kitchen, with dishes, blender, corkscrew, silverware, washer and dryer, enables you to be completely self-sufficient once you've done your initial grocery shopping.

Proprietors Tim and Beverly Thompson have truly thought of everything--including adjustable dimmer-lighting and thermostats in every room, to create just that perfect individualized atmosphere for whatever the occasion. Stacks of newspaper for getting a good blaze started have thoughtfully been placed in a basket by the stone fireplace. An enormous stack of firewood sits just outside the cabin, and a gas grill on the front porch means grilling those steaks and sausages will be a snap, leaving more time for outdoor activities or a longer soak in the hot tub on the covered porch, whichever your inclination may be. You can find a VCR, videos and board games for the whole family in each cabin. During the day, be sure to explore the extensive hiking trails, streams, waterfalls, and a trout stream stocked by the state. You'll have to purchase a fishing license for about $10, which you can find at any hardware store, fishing and bait shop, or even large superstores.

The Thompsons have built six cabins with their own personal preferences in mind. Having traveled the country and spent many a vacation wishing for the perfect mixture of rustic comfort, they have finally realized their dream, and now wish to share it with you. The lofty cathedral ceilings in each cabin convey a sense of light and breeze. Light streams into the dining room windows as well as through the sliding glass doors into the living room. Each cabin is decorated in a different unobtrusive style, with country flavor and clean lines. Cabins are far from one another, so you will have no problem imagining you are the only ones on the mountain, but with all possible amenities at your fingertips.
